The Destiny Follett System is an integrated library system (ILS) used in the Anytown School District. It centralizes and streamlines library management across all schools in the district. It provides circulation, cataloging, searching, reporting and management in one powerful easy-to-use solution. It promotes student achievement and strengthens the library-curriculum connection through subscription services that expand information access for students and teachers while maintaining patron rights.

Workstation Requirements: Microsoft® Internet Explorer version 6.x/7.0
for Windows 98 SE, 98 ME, NT 4.0, 2000,
XP and Vista. Mozilla Firefox version 2.x and higher for
Windows 98 SE, 98 ME, NT 4.0, 2000, XP; Mac OS X 10.3 and higher, and Linux Red Hat
8.0 and higher. Apple Safari version 1.2 and higher for
Mac® OS X 10.3 and higher.
Staff workstations will need
Adobe® Reader® version 5.0.5 or higher to view
Destiny reports.

C. Navigating ILS:
To view a list of step-by-step instructions for using the Destiny system, CLICK HERE:
With Destiny, you have full control over backups. The
database can be backed up “live” using popular backup
agents for SQL Server 2005. Destiny can also be
backed up using open file managers. In addition, Destiny
provides you with the ability to script system stop and
start if you prefer to schedule file-based backups.
The Destiny system performs automatic backups. The district can set the frequency of these backups (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly).
E. Maintenance Contract:
Upgrades are available periodically from the Follett Company.
All upgrades will be performed by the Anytown School District's Technology Department.
The annual cost of upgrade and support services fee ($700) should be included in the Library Department Budget.
